General Machine is currently involved in producing a Vacuum Truck Product Line for the Utilities Industry. The truck has proven to be a very good piece of equiment and the customers are pleased with its quailty and performance. The Vacuum Truck is used to locate and uncover Gas Mains through the use of an Air Lance and a Vacuum System. The truck can be used for many other applications, it can be used to physically locate Fiber Optic Lines, Water Lines and other underground utilities before digging with a backhoe or performing an underground directional bore. The truck we currently manufacture can be modified to suite any customer's specific requirements. This truck is equipped with a 175 cfm air compressor and a 1000 cfm blower used in reverse to make a vacuum. The idea is take one truck with everything on it you need to do the job. You have compressed air to power the air tools, air hammers, air saws, air tampers and air lance which is what we use to cut the dirt after the pavement has been jack hammered out. The Vac is used during most of these processes to suck up the material or to control dust. |
